Our blog and guides

Sources, reviews and corrections.

Our blog and guides cover recruitment, working arrangements and preparing for locum work. They are written for GPs, practice nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and the organisations hiring them.

Sources and authorship

FindALocum publishes the articles and guides. We use sources from regulators, government, NHS bodies and other relevant organisations, linking to the guidance behind factual claims. Articles show publication and source-check dates.

We use AI-assisted research and drafting, checking factual claims against the cited sources before publication. Authorship is attributed to FindALocum. We do not present articles as personally reviewed by a named clinician unless that review has taken place and is identified on the page.

Where requirements differ by country or setting, the guide identifies those differences. Check the source for the country and type of work you are considering.

Images

The people, workplaces and regional scenes shown in our website imagery are AI-generated illustrations. They do not depict FindALocum staff, clients, offices or locums available for booking. A regional image does not mean we have an office there or locums available locally. Images illustrate the surrounding content; they do not demonstrate professional checks, clinical procedures or an endorsement.

Reviews and corrections

A source-check or review date shows when we last checked the information. We change an article’s updated date when making a substantive revision, not simply to make it look newer. Official guidance can change, so consult the linked source before relying on information that affects a booking or professional decision.

To report an error, use the contact form with the page address, the passage you are querying and a supporting source if you have one. We review reported errors and correct material inaccuracies.

Scope of the guidance

The guides provide general information about locum recruitment and working arrangements. Employment, tax, legal, regulatory and clinical decisions may need advice from a qualified professional or the relevant authority.

Fee examples use the FindALocum booking fee. They exclude locum pay and any expenses, which are agreed separately for the booking.
