About the role

We’re looking for a Business Development Executive to grow the number of practices and pharmacies that book locums through FindALocum.

You’ll find and contact practice managers, primary care networks and pharmacy owners, explain how the service and our booking fee work, and help new customers set up their accounts and post their first shifts. Most of your work will be by phone, email and video call from our Leeds office, with occasional visits and events.

What you’ll do

Research and contact GP practices, primary care networks, pharmacies and other healthcare organisations.
Explain how FindALocum works, including our flat booking fee per locum day and how practices pay locums directly.
Help new practices register, get approved and post their first shifts.
Keep in touch with existing customers to understand their cover needs and gather feedback.
Record leads, conversations and follow-ups accurately.
Work with marketing on campaigns, case studies and events.
Report each week on leads, new sign-ups and bookings.

What you’ll bring

Experience in sales, account management or business development.
Confidence starting conversations by phone and email with people you haven’t met.
The ability to explain a service simply and answer questions honestly.
Good organisation and reliable follow-up.
Comfort working towards targets.

Useful but not essential

Experience selling to GP practices, primary care networks, pharmacies or the NHS.
An understanding of how primary care is funded and staffed.
Experience using a CRM.

About FindALocum

FindALocum helps GP practices, pharmacies and hospitals find locum GPs, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and practice nurses. Practices post shifts and pay a flat booking fee for each locum day. Locums register free and are paid directly by the practice. Our Leeds head office handles the checks, bookings and support behind every shift.
