About the role

As our Locum Recruitment Coordinator, you’ll be the main contact for the GPs, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and practice nurses who register with us. You’ll help them finish their profiles, explain how bookings work and match them with shifts that suit their skills and availability.

You’ll also speak to practices about the cover they need and follow up on shifts that are still open. You’ll work closely with the Recruitment & Operations Manager and the Compliance Administrator.

What you’ll do

  • Call and email new locums to welcome them, answer their questions and help them complete registration.
  • Find locums for open shifts by searching our register, checking availability and contacting suitable people.
  • Talk to practice managers about upcoming cover and keep them updated on progress.
  • Find new locums through job boards, professional networks and referrals.
  • Keep accurate notes of every conversation in our admin portal.
  • Pass completed profiles to compliance for checking, and chase missing documents.
  • Help arrange last-minute cover when a booking falls through.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in recruitment, resourcing, scheduling or another role where you matched people to work.
  • Confidence on the phone, including making calls to people you haven’t spoken to before.
  • Good organisation and attention to detail when recording information.
  • The ability to manage a busy list of open shifts and deal with the most urgent first.
  • Friendly, professional written English for emails and messages.
